Show & Tell

Knitting Update - Have been knitting a lot, to say the least, and wanted to share with you some of the projects completed. Of course, like any knitter (addicted) I have a few more in progress - hope to finish before the nice weather comes (has been raining for 400 days).

Here we go:
I have resisted the Noro for too long, and for that I am sorry. So far I have done two hats, one already gone out the door. FIL spotted it last week and took it home with him. We negotiated it to be an early gift for Father's Day. Happy Father's Day "B" ~ you truly are a wonderful dad!

Here's the hat in progress:

I have a feeling I will be seeing a lot of Noro (silk garden) in my future. Only one flaw - it breaks a little too easily. For that I can forgive it, because it is so beautiful.

Distracted by E's phone call from boot camp (you go ma belle), this one was left a wee bit too long in the washer. C'est tres felted. So instead of a great messenger bag pour moi, it will be an over the shoulder sak for my niece. Paton's Classic Merino pattern - Neapolitan Ice Cream colors... mmm...

With left over yarn, this little Clutch (One Skein) was made possible. It is great for you wallet and keys and a lip gloss :) Haven't decided if I will decorate with buttons or leave as is. I kinda like it as is due to the stripe. Ou - maybe I'll do a little needle felting design on it...

Loving the book One Skein. It's great for using up bits and pieces. Remember the acrylic you have stashed far underneath your beautiful yarns? Cable Footies. Quick and cute for around the house. I'm thinking Christmas presents (*for non-knitters)...

My first pair of socks knit pour moi :) The yarn is Koigu, picked up by my friend "Bits of Happy". Because the color is so bright I decided the socks needed a happy pattern. This is the shell pattern from Vintage Socks. They are, oh so comfortable and every time I wear them I will be a little bit happy :)

And the last show and tell piece: MIL's Silk Shawl. It turned out beautifully and it really suits her. This is a pic before I sent it. She did get it for mom's day :) The pattern was simple stitch pattern K1, YO, K2tog. I thought a simple pattern to show off the beautiful yarn. I LOVED working with this silk and hope Tangled Skeins brings in more!

Ta Da!

I love everything. That shawl is absolutely gorgeous - the simple stitch is perfect for letting the yarn be the showcase...

I, too, have some noro silk garden waiting for me in the stash (thanks for the heads up on the breakage potential).
